What is it?
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is compression of the median nerve at the wrist.
Repetitive movements of the wrist (carpal bones) or injury to the wrist.
Pain, numbness, tingling and/or burning in the hands and fingers.
How can treatment help?
It can reduce pain, improve wrist movement and regain function.
What to expect during treatment:
Wrist mobilising, stretching and swelling reduction techniques. The physiotherapist will also assess the neck to look for signs that it is involved in the condition.
What can you do to help yourself?
Rest, Ice, Compress, Elevate and keep the wrist moving.
